Eligibility

M-DCPS students in pre-K through grade 12 who lack fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime housing, including students staying doubled-up, in shelters, motels, vehicles, or public places.

How to start

Call the central program at 305-995-7558, contact the student's school, or submit the official eligibility questionnaire. Ask about enrollment, school-of-origin transportation, supplies, clothing, food, tutoring, counseling, and post-secondary support. Project UP-START is not an emergency shelter.
